After Care
At Mill Point Dental Center, our concern for your health and well-being does not end when you finish your appointment. Please review the following after-care instructions for detailed instructions.
After Your Extraction
This after-care instruction sheet covers all of the dos and donts for the first 24 hours after your extraction. We detail how to protect against a dry socket and promote healthy healing, and we cover how to care for your sutures.
After Your Scaling and Root Planing Treatment (deep cleaning)
It is normal to feel some tenderness after a deep cleaning. This after-care sheet reviews how to speed the healing process and reduce inflammation. We list foods to avoid for the first few days after treatment, and we review home care for preventing future infection.
After Your Root Canal Treatment
We recommend specific pain medication to use after leaving our office (avoid aspirin). We also have suggestions for how to lower the risk of having your tooth fracture or split.
